You are an important part of the American experiment in liberty and freedom. Without you, freedom dies and tyranny sets in. Local governments around the nation are steadily eroding freedoms by creating regulations and ordinances that tell you how you may live on your own property.
And then they send you a big bill (property tax) to live on your own property!
You must be active in your community if you expect to stop government control over every aspect of your life.
I am Lamar County GA Commissioner for District 2 because I have a passion for continuing the high quality of life here and to be your voice against government control over your life, liberty, pursuit of happiness and property.
And while we are talking "your property", this includes property taxes. I have long written and spoken out against property taxes, which make you a tenant of the government. As soon as you can't pay your property taxes, your property is sold on the courthouse steps.
This is just plain un-American. Unfortunately, this cannot be resolved solely on the local level but I continue to fight this battle with our politicians in state government.
Limited government, limited taxes, and property owners rights are my campaign promises. I will continue to use my 29 years of executive experience to move Lamar County forward in job production, lean government, and high quality of life.

Stand For Liberty - July 4, 2015
And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him
As America celebrates its 239th Independence Day, it is a fitting time to reflect on the meaning of liberty and freedom. America certainly has been on a long downward trajectory in terms of liberty for at least 100 years. The Founding Fathers understood the fallen nature of Man and endeavored to create a government that answered to the People and not to itself. Yet Liberty Classroom suggests that efforts to erase the gains fought for and won in the War for American Independence began within a decade of the formation of the nation.
The Founder’s vision of a “central government” was one limited to specific tasks and powers. The real power was given to the states. But the descendants of Cain stepped in and worked tirelessly to kill liberty. After all, Cain set the pattern for future generations when he killed Abel. He was the prototype for all the despots to come. Consider that Abel was killed out of jealousy, envy, greed, and pure psychotic desire to control others and eliminate anyone who got in his way. Cain was a template for future tyrants against liberty.
239 years later, the descendants of Cain are firmly in control of the US federal government and most state and local governments as well. They occupy key positions in government and use these positions to create a world that serves them. Jealousy, envy, and a psychotic desire to control you and everyone else in the world has led the charge to remake the US into a tightly controlled police state similar to what you’ll find in Communist China and Russia.
The US federal government today has nearly 200,000 pages of stifling, smothering, in your face law that is intended to permit your arrest, detainment, and seizure of your property under almost any pretext. The day is rapidly coming where this article of mine will earn me jail time.
Sleight of hand dominates policy activism at the federal level. While it’s now “legal” for two same sex people to “marry”, and you may kill your baby in the womb; just about anything else requires a fee, tax, regulation, or law to legally do. Freedom is defined by government edict and limited both in logic and morality.
Maybe this can explain why Mark Dice found so many Americans who clearly did not know what the 4th of July means or from whom America claimed its independence. Do you know why you’re celebrating the 4th of July? Some of you may not when you consider that a recent Maris Poll said, “Only 58 percent of residents know that the United States declared its independence in 1776.” Around a quarter of U.S. citizens have no idea who America declared its independence from.” How can it be that the freest nation the world has ever known could be so ignorant of these basic facts?
Undoubtedly this gives you a clue as to why the United States has fallen to number 12 (mostly free) in the Heritage Foundation’s 2015 Index of Economic Freedom. The World Freedom Index (2013) puts the US at number 7 in political freedom according to the Huffington Post.
Americans do not know the history of the Founding of this once great nation and the sacrifices made for your now diminishing freedoms. Knowledge of the US Constitution and the thinking behind it is practically non existent. That’s why the descendants of Cain so successfully pass law after unconstitutional law abrogating the rights of Americans.
Countless Americans died in wars to defend this nation against the very forces in control of the US today. The best way to celebrate the 4th this year is to spend time in gratitude to the long gone forces of the American Militia as they fought to free this country from the bondage of monarchical rule.
Meditate on the meaning of liberty and what it really means - not the version force fed by the government royalty.
Thank a Veteran today for the sacrifices made for the American Way as envisioned by America’s Founding Fathers.
And perhaps take a course on the American Revolution along with your children. Teaching your children about the American Revolution and the US Constitution is a gift to them they will treasure forever.
Liberty only comes from one source: The Lord. Consider this passage of scripture from Galatians 5:1; Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Your rights are God given. Don’t let Man’s inferior law take them away.
May you be very blessed this 239th Independence Day.

The solution is always spend your money
Republicrats and Demuplicans alike share the same problem solving template for solving the nation's ills. Spend your money and create restrictive rules and regulations. Economist Peter Schiff has a different approach but most people would rather suck on their passifier than take the hard but best long term approach to stopping America's descent into bankruptcy. Read Peter Schiff's solution.

Veterans - Preserving the American Constitution
From the beginning of recorded history, men, women, and children in nations all over the world, have suffered from attacks by brutal invaders whose goals were murder, robbery, rape, and destruction. Liberty and freedom in many parts of the world even today is a faint concept - one that is as scarce as security from persecutors both in government and in the criminal world. Here in America, we have been hugely blessed to have something no other country has - a Constitution that endeavors to limit the size and scope of government. To protect that unique document and the US form of government, Americans can thank with great gratitude our men and women in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, National Guard, and the Reserve Units. You have consistently provided protection against our enemies; foreign and domestic. I thank you with all my heart for your sacrifice for our safety and protection of the unique American form of government. May you always stand vigilant in the face of tyranny. May you continue to honor and protect the US Constitution against enemies foreign and domestic.
